Lenzy — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 October 2026

Lenzy is a contact lens replacement tracker. This policy explains exactly what the app does and does not do with information. It is written to be read, not to cover us — if something here is unclear, please ask.

The short version

What stays on your device

Everything you enter into Lenzy is stored locally on your iPhone and is never transmitted to us:

Reminders are scheduled locally by iOS. No notification is sent from a server, and we cannot see whether you receive or open one. Deleting the app deletes this data permanently — we hold no copy and cannot restore it.

If you add the Lenzy home-screen widget, the countdown it displays is passed to it through a private storage area shared only between Lenzy and its own widget on your device. It is not transmitted anywhere.

From version 1.1, tilting your iPhone moves the water in the mirror on the main screen. For this Lenzy reads the phone's motion sensor while the app is open. The readings are used on the spot to draw the picture; they are not stored and are not transmitted anywhere.

Advertising

Lenzy is free and supported by ads from Google AdMob. Ads are requested as non-personalized only. That means:

To deliver an ad at all, Google receives limited technical information such as your device type, coarse region, and IP address, and uses it for ad delivery, frequency capping and fraud prevention. Your lens data is never shared with Google or any advertiser. Google's handling of that information is covered by Google's Privacy Policy.

Subscribing to Lenzy Pro removes all ads.

Subscriptions

Lenzy Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through Apple. Payment is handled entirely by Apple and we never receive your card or billing details.

From version 1.1, Lenzy checks whether a subscription is active directly with Apple, on your device. No other company is involved in this check.

Version 1.0 used RevenueCat for the same check. In that version RevenueCat receives an anonymous, randomly generated identifier and your subscription status. It does not receive your name, email address, or any of your lens data. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

What we do not do

Health information

Some of what Lenzy stores is health information: your lens schedule, your accessory replacement dates, and — if you choose to enter it — your contact lens prescription. All of it stays on your device. None of it is uploaded, and none of it is shared with Google, RevenueCat, advertisers or anyone else.

Recording a prescription is entirely optional and Lenzy works fully without it. It is stored as a written note for your own reference when you reorder. Lenzy does not check, correct, interpret or suggest a prescription, and it does not compare one against any lens in the app. Lenzy does not read from or write to Apple Health.

Lenzy is a reminder tool and is not medical advice — always follow the guidance of your eye-care professional.

Children

Lenzy is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
